Cecil A. Duell

Cecil A. Duell was born in Missouri in 1889. He decorated pieces at Rookwood Pottery for only a few years, between 1907 and 1915. He married Katherine Van Horne, another Rookwood artist in 1912. He is known for his sculpted pieces in mat green that embody the arts and crafts movement of the time. He designed many of the Rookwood forms during this period. He died in Cincinnati in 1946. Collector interest in his pieces is considered to be average.
