Peters and Reed Weller Pottery Standard Ware Glaze Flower Bouquet Vase

$65.00
The pieces were made in the late 1800's and early 1900's. with many having a Victorian era elaborate design. This line was finished in the same brown glossy glaze that most potters used at that time. Their standard ware had garlands, wreaths, leaves, sprigs and faces. The body of the ware is red clay. None are marked. The bottom is totally glazed. Some of the designs are in the mold and then hand painted while others are just applied. Many people believe these pieces to be Weller pottery as the forms were seen in other Weller lines. Some still agrue that these are Peters and Reed.

This has a marvelous flower bouquet on both sides of the vase which is very pretty and well defined. The pastel colors form the flower bouquet on each side. The glaze on this one is unusual and unique as it is lighter than most standard ware pieces that I have seen. Perfect for any shelf.

Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Very very minor underglaze crazing on this wonderful vase. It may appear more pronounced due to the macro lens used for the photography. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. No evidence of repair or modification was detected. The white spots are studio light reflections.

Authentic vintage pottery. All images are original and un-edited.
