Weller Pottery 1920's Coppertone Frog Lily Pad Bowl Set

$615.00
Weller Pottery introduced the Coppertone line in the late 1920's. Most of the Coppertone pieces are relating to frogs or turtles and a few without any decoration other than its heavily mottled green glaze created to mimic the green patina found on copper. This is one of Weller's most well-known lines and easily identifiable.

Here we have a beautiful frog lily pad bowl with flower frog insert. It is difficult to find a coppertone frog bowl with a flower frog insert - how nice! Most collectors look for the pieces with frogs and here is your chance to own one which displays extremely well. Perfect for any cabin or woodsy decor.

Exceptional set in that it is no damage, no chips, cracks, no scratches to glaze. I cannot detect any underglaze crazing on this vase. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops.

Authentic although unsigned. All images are un-edited and original.
